Should I keep waiting longer for a response or do another ticket? Ordinarily I'd wait patiently for a response but for something that is so easily fixable I'm surprised I'm not getting told anything. I dunno if you had an overload over the NY but I'm the one having to post back to you every 12 hours to get an update on nothing.

Are you referring to a support request in our system? If so, I only have one right here that has been waiting any appreciable length of time (in this case, a 7 hours since it has been assigned to me). It is from a potential customer who wants a server type that doesn't work right now, and it will take time to add that type back in and test it. This will certainly take me time to do, since I am utterly slammed with high-priority issues like DDoS attacks right now. Opening another support request would not help in this case.

I'm not sure what you mean about NY.

I was talking about New Years. Ya, the issue has been going for like a little more than a day now, since like 1530 yesterday (though NFO did refund fully which some companies don't do so readily). I've checked in every few hours since I''m getting no status updates on it to find out u were woring on something or couldn't get it to work, which baffles me since there are dozens if not hundreds of third party mod steam servers still up that follow the simple fix: Make a .txt file in your steam/steamapps/<email>/dedicated server folder called steam_appid.txt and in it put just 70. I don't know if that interferes with other servers or what. Unless there was a sudden change to steam I'm not aware of it worked as of like a week ago when I did a DS from my PC. If you're swamped with malicious attacks I'm sorry and I'll be patient but I just wanted some feedback instead of wondering if my issue got lost in the sauce

Most 3rd party HL1 servers run fine out of the box with just a steam_appid.txt adjustment (which really only affects whether the mod shows in the browser, in my experience). The mod that you requested does not work fine even with it, at least with the files that I have. This is what I mean when I say that it will take time; I need to determine the cause and address it.

I am not saying that there is an insurmountable problem. I am just saying that it will take time. More than 7 hours ;).

I am working on a ton of other high-priority things right now in addition to those stubborn attacks on certain customers.

some people are running non steam versions and old protocols or something from Argentina I think. I dont know if things you'e seen are that or if maybe somehow you hae an old or corrupted version that isn't ch6. If thats the case I can eitehr upload it to you or find it for you (I think one of the links still works)

Still very busy with many things, yes. I have not had time to get to issues that aren't time-sensitive yet.
