I wake up this morning, and my vps' password was changed... aparently someone got into my control panel.. which had a random password that you get from recovery . and changed my vps password, there anyway of changing the pw?
Also on the control panel... on access log there ip wasn't there .. but when i shut it off he went back on and tried putting it back online

If you haven't already updated your personal machine, checked it for malware, and updated all your passwords (control panel, email, personal machine, etc), you should do that right away.

With a reinstall, the IP and passwords will be retained. You will need to change the OS password after your server is finished: http://www.nfoservers.com/forums/viewto ... =46&t=4030

Where w.x.y.z is the IP address on your VDS that isn't responding properly.

Are you asking if that is correct?
If so, the answer is that it is not correct. You did not replace the w.x.y part with the correct parts of your IP.
