I was just wondering if you were going to convert to something else as this version of phpbb is aged?
Although phpbb 3 is newer than this version on your forums: i am still not a big phpbb fan
I'm sure you have your reasons for keeping this forum stripped down but i figured i would just throw it out there
We really have no reason to. Plus sometimes less is more when it comes to forums and themes.

Not really an issue at all. I only see spam about once a week and when I do it is deleted and banned.

That does look really nice to be honest. If we had to switch or were going to, I vote that one. lol

For NFo these forums are good.
For me its all about vBulletin www.47r-squad.com
I had dozens and dozens of addons.
I couldn't switch even if I wanted to
Way too much invested.
The point is, stay with what it works for you, if things work then don't mess with em
Other board types aren't going to bring any revenue...just a waste of money.

XenForo is indeed nice, however Xen has a long ways to go before they will catch up to vBulletin or IPB.
XenForo devs are old vB devs that quit the company when Internet Brands took over.
One thing I love about XenForo is how simple things are, the the live notification option is just awesome.

John, if you'd like to check the administration let me know, I can give you admin access to the forum on our community http://gunero.com so you can check out everything it has, how the template system works, etc.
Just let me know, you can also contact me directly on my email.
xenForo is the best forum software I have ever used. Yes it is still in beta, but it is well on its way and the stock theme is not bad at all. [Even IPB has a theme released called Deluxe that emulates it.] It is beautiful, works well and has a year of support for 40$. I call that a steal. :] [Due to it being beta, the support does not actually kick in until they release an official version. Current version stands at 1.0.4]
1.1 Will supposedly be released by the end of the British summer, or end of Sept - Mid Oct. Not too sure, they have not fully made a statement other than the end of summer. But I am anticipating that release.
XenForo 1.1
This will be the first release of major new features since XenForo 1.0. There are lots of things going in, some of which we have hinted at in posts around the forum. There are also a few things that we had originally slated for 1.1 that will now be pushed back to a later release in favour of getting 1.1 out sooner with an array of completed features.
Here are a few features that will be in XenForo 1.1:
Right-to-left layout mode for Arabic (etc.) language support
Thread prefixes, definable at a per-forum and a per-user group basis
Warnings for trouble-making users
Ability for members to ignore other members
Custom user profile fields
Daily statistics
Admin CP search
Improved admin and moderator logging
Additional thread viewing permissions
Criteria-based user group promotions
A notice system to display messages to your users in certain circumstances
This is not an exhaustive list. We will expand the feature list over time, but some improvements may be a surprise with the release itself.
We will be detailing many of the features of XenForo 1.1 over time via the Have You Seen...? forum.
