The whole internet was bombarded by this news.
It's a shame the world lost another great innovator.
A sad day indeed, snow on the mountains, and rain pouring in the valley.
the news is on www.apple.com

Re: Steve Jobs passed away
Apple was not that popular, but the iPhone and iPod and now iPad revived the franchise big time.
Wish I had money invested in the 90's
Back to topic, one of my favorite quotes from Steve:
“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”

Re: Steve Jobs passed away
Apple is not that popular because it requires a bit more of your brain to use it. It's a BSD based operating system which is "Linux-like." I prefer my Linux box any day over a Mac though. And I'd prefer a Mac over a Windows computer any day as well.
Funny that Steve Jobs steps down a couple of months ago and dies right after Apple day...
Goodbye Steve!

In my personal opinion i would say that is opinionated and debatable.Apple is not that popular because it requires a bit more of your brain to use it. Mac may be linux based, but with an idiot proof gui. Let's see a mac user actually do some linux work
.
Either way, was a pure genious and will be greatly missed.

Meh...I could care less that he passed away.
Unlike most of the world, I think he was a JERK. His ego is the reason that iOS devices cannot access Flash based websites thus disenfranchising his customer base instead of HELPING them.
He also had a daughter that he would not admit was his.
Sure he was an innovator.

Re: Steve Jobs passed away
I must say, I have been reading some new articles about his new bio coming out and it seems twice he was pointing the Finger at Android and Google, speaking of hate.
Even though Android is Google basically I just find it odd that such a "great" man would be so mad and wanting to destroy the Android phones and Google. His reason was that they stole all of IOS ideas.
In my personal opinion - A phone is a phone, Once it is first invented everything else after it is a copy with a new color.
