Server Not Filling? Try THIS!! (BF3)

I'm very impressed both with this community's ability to help identify the problem and with John for creating what seems to be a very good fix.

Admittedly, I've not used the tool during primetime yet. Friday night I was manually moving the limits to get players dropped in. Took about an hour to get around 38-40 and that lasted till about 2300 MDT. The server crashed and didn't refill again.

However, I did put the automated process on while I was playing on a few different servers. I just checked on it now and even at 0300 there's a handful of people using the server. I might just leave this on for the next 24 hours and see how it goes.

My server is doing extremely well on Conquest Large right now (currently at 56 players). Thanks very much, John! <3

Just a quick update: I've been out all day but monitoring the server. Sure enough, there's been a steady level of players on the server for most of the day with the auto-pop control set to ON.

Even if they don't change the way BattleLog works, I think this is the solution people were looking for.

Indeed! But I still expect them to fix the way Battlelog lists servers.

so i have been doing this with conquest_small maps using 64 players


if i switch to the proper conquest-large maps/64 player, will this auto incrementor work well

I am not sure, my server (32 slot) goes from 32 to 0 and no logs...
Most likely server crash.
My VDS has been crashing often too..

zeroumus, it might work in getting the server up to 32 players. It would mostly be useful if you already have a 64-slot server that shows high in the server list in Battlelog, and need help getting it going.

any tricks for getting Conq going??...i swapped from rush to conq large and it killed the server and never getting more than 14 or so...swapped back to rush and its full again...

i wonder about changing it to just conq and not the 64 and then changing later if it fills up...

We have been dead for the last 4-5 days. I turned this on the "Adjust player limit automatically?" option last night. Rush seemed to work for us the 1st week, not as much now.

I've got a 32 slot conquest server and I've been using the auto player limiter. Noticed that after it empties out overnight that the only way I have it refill is manually restarting it every morning.

Sadly, it seems that the incrementor has stopped working for us as well as it did at the start. I'm just gonna disable it for now and have it set to 64 players. I'm kind of sad that I'm seeing some past rival servers doing better than us due to the Battlelog server listing when we were more popular than them in BC2.
