Control panel question

So, my friends and I have always rumored this, and I was wondering if anyone here can either confirm or deny this. We've had servers in the past, and yes, we understand servers will crash. My friends and I, however, have often thought that the crashes increase when using control panel a lot or leaving it open. We also are using BFCC. My question, and our rumor is, will leaving either control panel or BFCC open over an extended time period increase the chances of the servers crashing?

Leaving our control panel open would not cause the server to crash. Any other admin program maybe. I have heard rumors that Procon used to cause crashes..etc. but I have no hard evidence of this.
