How to block access to certain directories?

If you have a website with NFO you most likely have some directories where you store your files, whether that be some custom maps or a mod that you do not want people getting there hands on. There is an easy way to block people from getting access to those directories..

1. Create a blank index.html file in your favorite editor(Or design one)
2. Upload it to the specific directory you want to block
3. Attempt to navigate to that directory

If you did everything correct the user should be presented with a completely blank page.


Please keep in mind, if people know the exact name of the file they will still have access to it.

XXX.site.nfoservers.com/custom/NFO-christmasparty.jpg = Not Blocked
