How do i connect to my friends minecraft game? I have been trying to connect to my friends minecraft game but i keep getting the message "failed to connect to server connection timed out: connect". this annoys me because his brother joins his server and has no issues. I have joined other servers before but I can't join his.

Are you certain that you're typing in the correct IP:port combination?

Is his Brother connecting from inside the same house? If so, it may be that he is able to connect fine locally, but doesn't have his router configured for external connections or gave you the internal address instead of the public address.
