does the server revert back to some sort of unknown PW,if it has not been used for a certain amount of time? i ask this ? because there are times when the server is not in use and when we try to join our pw does not work. so i must set pw thru HLSW. if there is a default PW that the server reverts to could you please e-mail it to me. since not all of my clan has the rcon PW and at times they cannot get in the server.

check in your server.cfg
sv_password "xxxxx"
thats your main password
however if you exec a league config like cal.cfg, it can have a
sv_password "xxxxx" in there too, if its diff, it will change the password.
if you have no password at all, like no sv_password line, then yes, a script adds a password to your server, because its supposed to be private, not open.

your server is a private server, you are instructed to add the line sv_password "xxxxx"
xxxxx being the pass u want.
