My friend rents a standard Minecraft server and I'm wondering if Tekkit 3.11 will work on it.
I've downloaded the zip, and I read this guide in the NFO knowledgebase, but the zip doesn't contain a server.properties file — am I to make a new server.properties (or copy & edit the old one) with only "server-ip=x.x.x.x" in it before I start the server back up? Or will the restarted server generate a new one, and I'm to edit that before having people connect?

Re: Tekkit 3.11
My understanding is the server.properties file that already exists on your server will work now, so you can leave that file as well.
Re: Tekkit 3.11
Hm; that didn't work for me. I don't understand the original guide — where does the "new server.properties file" come from if it's not in the tekkit zip and you're supposed to delete everything off the server?
Re: Tekkit 3.11
That is what Vanderburg means by leaving that file. With the new version of Tekkit, it seems that you are supposed to keep your own server.properties file now and not delete it.
