I have setup and launched a CS:GO server on my Windows 2003 Dual Core VDS, the server shows in the server browser through steam and everything seems fine until you try to join, where it then tells you that your steam validation has been rejected. I have tried pretty much everything I could think of so far, but neither I nor any of my friends are connecting. I have followed the instructions as read on https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wik ... toexec.cfg
I have included some screenshots of whats going on on both my end and the servers end.

Just wondering if anyone has any idea why it is producing this error?

Re: CS:GO Steam validation rejected
Are you using stock files with a stock gamemodes.txt?
Have you tried with just -ip yourip and not +net_public.. ? The latter should not apply.

Re: CS:GO Steam validation rejected
Yes everything is stock. I have tried both of the commands as you can see in the cmd prompt in one of the screenshots. I have also tried logging into steamcmd with a different account than the one I am trying to connect with. I have tried connecting through the console as well as the server browser in CS:GO, tried restarting the server as well as my personal machine, and tried deleting clientregistry.blob on my end. I dont believe it has anything to do with anything client side since my friend was getting the same error.
The server is completely stock except for the minecraft server which is running on a different port. I think I will try going to server2008 and re-installing later but if there is anything else I could do I would prefer that.

Re: CS:GO Steam validation rejected
So I installed windows server 2008 on the VDS and re-installed srcds. Everything appears to be running fine now, able to connect and play just great! I also installed steamcmd from this link http://www.mediafire.com/?9oid28mz4k7ots4 so I dont know if that made any difference. What that does is just has all of the files that steamcmd downloads, just pop that on your desktop and run it and your good to go. I could not get steamcmd to download the files it needed because it said it was not connected to the internet for some reason, google search turned up similar errors and I was able to grab that link.
