What you're referring to as the middle one appears to be the same event as the first. The timestamps are too close for it to be a separate stop operation.
Thank you for using your own equipment. I know you care and do your research. Some companies use lower grade equipment for their minecraft servers tho because they think it requires less resources than the FPS servers however it doesnt.
Yes, we have found that Minecraft is actually a very heavy-usage game and requires some of the highest grade hardware.

Rose wrote:The stops on the 22 were the ones that werent letting the server auto-reboot. We dont know what was happening there. Its why we took tekkit out to work on it however the 3 errors i intially mentioned from the 22 about the port issues i believe are a significant hint. Can you please look into it so we can install tekkit back and see if its working again.
You only had one port error. It was caused by your server.properties file not specifying an IP (the KB article that I linked talks more about this). That only happens when someone uploads a new file with the missing line.

The other errors from the 22nd were all plugin-related.
Something like a port issue would definately fit the symptoms. It was working fine and then all of a sudden had issues. No changes made that would cause it. Please, PLEASE check into that as well. Like i said thats the second issue.
An interesting thing about Minecraft is that it is changing constantly. Even if you don't upload a new plugin, players are constantly making changes in the world, and most plugins are written to react to these changes, often saving data of their own. This means that a server can break even if you don't personally change its configuration.

Here's one example error from your log on the 22nd:

Code: Select all

2012-09-22 21:08:31 [SEVERE] java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Slot 178 is already occupied by ee.BlockEETorch@7c490556 when adding codechicken.enderstorage.BlockEnderChest@1dfd90d9
Googling this error, I see that it's pretty common and indicates a block ID conflict. The advice generally seems to be that you should either try to fix the conflict by reassigning resources, or reinstalling everything from scratch.

I guess ill see if we can do a reinstall of everything after saving it all and just go through anything and everything mentioned in the log with a fine tooth comb. We'll see how it goes over the next couple days and hopefully by the renewal we can get it all working right so i dont have to switch companies or anything. I may have to just switch to cs go only for a month or so to get it figured out.

Thank you for the help. I know your very busy and i genuinely appreciate your time. I hope that now also you can get my concerns i started the post with passed around to all the staff so they can start all showing more enthusiasm to help and that they dont have such negativity anymore.

I know you recieve dozens of tickets every day, and most of the time its these kids that dont know crap about them and bug you for everything which has probably caused your staff to point to the server renters modifications as the reason immediately, but please get them to reverse the steps and take just a couple minutes to go into their ftp and take a look at the actual server files that none of us can see. If its not that then they can say with assurance that its in _____ mod and please see google or forums to fix. I guarantee, as a sucessful business owner of 20 years myself, It would make your company way more desireable. You already are awesome at getting tickets answered at lightning speeds, just now concentrate on the quality of the communication. People willl, and I can promise you this, people with be singing your praises when people come in their servers and ask what company they have. You'll get all kinds of free advertising like i posted on yogscast along with my server info. I said that we have NFOservers and we are proud to be able to say that as they are the best in gaming.

:)

I would like to get to know you and your staff a bit better since I always love being with companies that I know the owner/employees of. It gives me a larger sense of dedication to it. I know you dont have much time to socialize but It would be awesome to talk a bit even in the forums.

BTW, can you please add private messaging? or is it added and you dont have it because you would get bombarded?

Employees are trained to provide in-depth responses, but it's an area where they do not always perform perfectly. In your case, they responded more appropriately in previous support requests but fell short this time.

There aren't files in your FTP that only staff can see; you have access to all the files for your server, and they have the same file access that you do. This is why they follow the same troubleshooting steps that you would in looking at plugin problems.

You are correct that word-of-mouth is very important in this industry. Over the 10+ years that we've been offering services, we've found that standard advertising has not very effective and that nearly all customers have come to us based on recommendations from others.
