MX Error

Post by locx »

I have try to forward my email over to my google account but i keep getting the error. I have done this before and work fine. Could you please check why it keeps getting me an error?

You specified an invalid MX entry for smartbookhawaii.com of 20/ALT1.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM. . Please double-check that you are using a valid DNS target.

The correct setting from google is

MX Server address Priority
ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM. 10
ALT1.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM. 20
ALT2.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM. 20
ASPMX2.GOOGLEMAIL.COM. 30
ASPMX3.GOOGLEMAIL.COM. 30

Make sure you don't have any extra spaces at the end when pasting entries into the textfield.

From your error, Spray223's right -- you accidentally had a trailing space :)
