Which plan would suite me?

Post by MrMackeyMKayyy »

Hello there, I am interested in renting a VDS but I am having troubles finding out which package that I really need for what it is that I want.

I am planning on running a 50-60 slot DayZ Roleplay server and also hosting a Teamspeak 3 server off of the server. I am not quite sure of the specs require for a DayZ Server but I was thinking around the 2 core or the 3 core package. The server would also be using a Windows 2012 OS so I am able to run the server off of it and have a GUI (Yeah I am sad, I like the GUI's).

Anyways, would you have any ideas possible for me? I am new to VDS's as I have been renting out game-servers and would like to learn how to host my own server and also throw some extras on to save some money. I appreciate your help!

For your requirements the 3 core would be a good option. I have also seen many recommendations that you host dayz and mysql off of SSD space, so that might be an addon you want to consider. I usually see people here with about 2 cores used by the game server, in my opinion, it is good to have an extra core for windows to use for OS services, sql, or anything else that might use CPU.
