Transferring Between Game Server and VPS
If I transfer from a Game Server to a vps, do all the files that were on the game server transfer onto the vps?
Re: Transferring Between Game Server and VPS
Yes, all files will go with it and the IP will stay the same unless the VDS is located in a different location.

Re: Transferring Between Game Server and VPS
To clarify, what kraze said is true only for a managed VDS. (http://www.nfoservers.com/forums/viewto ... =51&t=4564)
Re: Transferring Between Game Server and VPS
I needed the stuff to go to an unmanaged. Any way to do this? Also, can a managed also run a web server and teamspeak server?
Re: Transferring Between Game Server and VPS
At the moment there is not, you would need to do this manually. A managed server currently cannot run a webserver or a VOIP server.Kronazo wrote:I needed the stuff to go to an unmanaged. Any way to do this? Also, can a managed also run a web server and teamspeak server?

Re: Transferring Between Game Server and VPS
I would also like to point out running a web server alongside a game server can cause performance artifacts, which is a considerable reason NFO doesn't allow anything but game servers to be run on managed machines(I assume).Kronazo wrote:I needed the stuff to go to an unmanaged. If you are comfortable with linux, you can get the newly reduced single core linux only vds for $10(a crazy good deal), which can run up to a 512 slot TS3(on a NPL) and a website perfectly fine!
Post in the forum if you need any help with configuring the linux software, but if you have never touched linux before, NFO offers $3 web hosting and great prices on TS3 servers!
