Re: Journey and Damage Rubberbanding players again!
The DICE Devs (about 8 of them) from the LA DICE office visit my LA server quite frequently, my Conquest most of all. Maybe I should chat with them and make them aware of these lag maps if they are not already. I wonder if they've realized that I took these maps out of my Conquest server's rotation yet.
Re: Journey and Damage Rubberbanding players again!
Is anybody renting at NFO not having problems with these maps? We changed datacenters and these maps still lag after the server has been running awhile.
Re: Journey and Damage Rubberbanding players again!
They still lag.
Re: Journey and Damage Rubberbanding players again!
Maybe it will be fixed in the next update coming soon. (doubt it)
Re: Journey and Damage Rubberbanding players again!
Yeah! When can we put these three lag maps back into our rotations? On a side thought, I'd really like to see the statistics of how many times these three maps (Lancang Dam, Golmud Railway, and Dragon Valley) have been played across all servers.
Re: Journey and Damage Rubberbanding players again!
Anyone can confirm Dragon Pass is now an okay map to put back into rotation?
Re: Journey and Damage Rubberbanding players again!
We don't run the CR maps but our members have been saying that the bigger maps don't seem to have the lag anymore after this last patch. Anyone else running Lancang Dam? If so, is that map still lagging? I have yet to add that one back to the rotation. Everytime I do, we get complaints.XDE4TH wrote:Anyone can confirm Dragon Pass is now an okay map to put back into rotation?

They have seemed "ok" I think it's worth a try, just be ready to yank them if they act up
Re: Journey and Damage Rubberbanding players again!
I'm gonna wait for you guys to report in on your findings before I add these maps back in. Don't wanna upset my players all over again over this issue.
Re: Journey and Damage Rubberbanding players again!
I'm also hoping someone else will be the guinea pig, then be kind enough to share the info with us.
Re: Journey and Damage Rubberbanding players again!
we have all the maps on ours and it seems to be hit or miss some rounds they lag so bad that the server empties and others they run just fine which is mind bogling
Re: Journey and Damage Rubberbanding players again!
Just as it was when I pulled them from our rotation. Sometimes the maps would run just fine but more times than not they'd lag bad. Is DICE even aware of these problem maps? Maybe John would know?Anim0L wrote:we have all the maps on ours and it seems to be hit or miss some rounds they lag so bad that the server empties and others they run just fine which is mind bogling
Re: Journey and Damage Rubberbanding players again!
DICE has told us that they're generally working on performance improvements, but nothing beyond that.

Re: Journey and Damage Rubberbanding players again!
sooo, the maps were workign well for a while. Today Hainan became a lag fest with players blaming the server.
If only Dice could make a server patch that actually patched something

Did the building fall when those reports came in? as that is the only time I lose FPS is when someone knocks the building down on that map.
