How to portforward a virtual server?

Post by Zipline100 »

This may seem a little bit "noobish" or stupid but I honestly don't know how to set the port for my Garrys Mod server on my dedicated server. Its running windows server 2003, if that helps.

Ports are not restricted on your virtual server. By default windows blocks all communication from programs not in its exception list.

Go to your control panel-->Firewall-->Allow a program or feature through Windows Firewall-->Allow another program.

Find your srcds.exe file, and add it. Make sure it is allowed on both Home/Work and Public networks.

Please post again if you need anymore help :)
