Re: EA is going to fix the rubberbanding.
Anyone seeing a lack of complaints of lag and rubberbanding on their 64 NS servers today? Haven't seen it so far on either of mine...
Re: EA is going to fix the rubberbanding.
Remember BF3 when a lot of people were having horrible lag for a few days in a row and higher pings?
Do you all remember what the culprit was? *cough*Battlelog*cough*
While Battlelog is interesting in what it is, I feel like a lot of the times it causes problems that shouldn't be happening.

That blog post is about their console servers, as far as I know.
Re: EA is going to fix the rubberbanding.
That's what it seems like it means as I know they can't tell you providers what hardware you have to run. But then I thought maybe they could be talking about their behind-the-scenes hardware and that it isn't really a direct hosted game server problem. I dunno...Edge100x wrote:That blog post is about their console servers, as far as I know.

I'm still getting complaints on mine. It seems like they go away when the server drops down to 48 players or so.TimSad wrote:Anyone seeing a lack of complaints of lag and rubberbanding on their 64 NS servers today? Haven't seen it so far on either of mine...
Re: EA is going to fix the rubberbanding.
Maybe my servers are being hosted with other game servers that haven't been filling all that much recently so there are more free resources and not much strain being put onto mine? I dunno. I just really can't figure out why mine were both pretty bad the first day but hardly any lag the day after and onward.marrr wrote:I'm still getting complaints on mine. Re: EA is going to fix the rubberbanding.
Did you have NFO turn on threading on your server?
Re: EA is going to fix the rubberbanding.
I did not. I don't think they did that without my knowing anyway. I was thinking that they may have done something unknowingly for my servers to run NS @ 64 players smooth so I asked them in a Support Request and they responded saying that they did nothing.wihgaming wrote:Did you have NFO turn on threading on your server?
Re: EA is going to fix the rubberbanding.
Running the 4 NS maps in conquest tonight, and the gameplay is rubberband free so far. I misread the EA blog lol, didn't know they were talking about console dedi servers.
Re: EA is going to fix the rubberbanding.
Alright, as of about half an hour ago, aaaallll the complaint of lag and rubberbanding has now commenced. After no complaints all day long they just now come. Why is this?
Re: EA is going to fix the rubberbanding.
TimSad, my best guess would be that other factors than straight server performance are involved, such as PB checks or Blaze interactions. On our end, I have not seen anything unusual and all of our machines have low CPU usage.
Re: EA is going to fix the rubberbanding.
We had threading turned on our server.
It doesn't help stop the rubberbanding lag on the maps like Paracel Storm if anybody was curious.

Re: EA is going to fix the rubberbanding.
Should those of us with 64 player servers get threading turned on??
Has this helped any of you?
