Did you try to use putty to change the permissions?ZacharyS wrote: Oh if I can ask an NFO person one question? Our webserver account is the lite plan. I've looked at phpinfo and it states that mod_rewrite is loaded, but I want to install a program called xlrstats webfront and it doesn't seem to see the mod_rewrite stuff? I've tried adding a .htaccess file to the root of the xlrstats folder but it doesn't make any difference. I've also tried to put it on our game server site, but the same thing occurrs. Can you suggest anything I can possibly try to get the prog to recognise the mod_rewrite stuff? and thx in advance.

Re: CentOS question
Hi Satanic Spirit - I've looked at the webserver with WinSCP and as far as I can tell it's not a problem with permissions. I did try it on our gameserver however, and had to change the "AllowOverride None" to "AllowOverride All" in the httpd.conf file and that seems to do the trick for installation of that xlrstats prog, on our VDS anyhoo. So we'll stick with that for now coz I don't think we have any way of changing that setting locally on a shared webserver (I Think
- maybe some1 can correct me and point me in the right direction if I'm wrong). Now if I can just sort out how to get Bright Game panel to run NON root - we'd be almost sorted
I've setup a non-root account and the non-modded COD4 server works fine - I'm just having a major headache with the mods. I really don't want root to run them but that's the only way they'll run for now. It's probably really simple, but right now I'm just going round in circles
I don't want to be beaten by it so I'll keep slogging away till I find a solution.
Thanks for the suggestion and sorry I'm so late replying, not enough hours in the day at the moment
Cheers.
