Transfer external domain to nfoservers?

Post by Chdata »

I currently have the domain "tf2data.com" registered from myhosting.com

I also have webhosting from nfoservers, for example this 404 page I set up.
http://tf2data.site.nfoservers.com/

I want to make my tf2data.com domain be able to lead to the nfoserver site. I don't really know the terminology for what I'm trying to do yet.

I've tried doing this before but came to dead ends not knowing what I need to do.

This KB article should be able to help you transferring your domain here: http://www.nfoservers.com/forums/viewto ... =19&t=8227

Here is some additional information for changing where your domain points after you have it moved to NFO: http://www.nfoservers.com/forums/viewto ... 19&t=10842

Well... I was successfully able to add non-default nameservers and point THOSE to nfo, and now nfo.tf2data.com points to my nfo website.

But... myhosting doesn't seem to have an option to change the default name servers (ns1-2.myhosting.com) pointed to tf2data.com as the host.

I suppose I'll try calling them about it.

Did you make sure to set the nameservers to NFO on the myhosting control panel?

I added 2 name servers set to those, but myhosting doesn't let me change the original ones.

Using DNS check tools, the name servers are still being reported as myhosting servers.

You would need to contact your provider and ask that they change them for you or direct you how to do it.
@Kraze^NFo> Juski has a very valid point

@Juski> You said I had a valid point! You can't take it back now! It's out there!
