Nothing after helping clients with Medicare issues made me happier then blowing things up and shooting people. I used to rent out a server for years but let it go because i got busy and my computer got slow . Now it is fixed and i am getting ready to rent a server again.

I am going to do the CS 1.6 and i hopefully can get some ideas on what may be new and interesting i can add on to maybe make my server stand out. Keep in mind though i am not great with computers i am really bad.

I used to add maps it has been awhile though. I also wanted the Awps banned. Which mod was that i think it was Amxmod but not sure. I uses to also have a website players can go to and see all their stats i cannot remember the name i wanted to look into that again.

I have seen a few servers with guys that fall have parachutes anyone know the pluses and minuses on that. Any other ideas on new stuff for 1.6?

For banning particular weapons, there are AMXModX plugins that can help with that. They have a searchable list here that is worth looking at: http://www.amxmodx.org/compiler.php?mod ... &go=search

For stats, HLStatsX is usually the way to go, although Psychostats is also still an option. Both have in-game plugins to interface with the database.

I'm not familiar with the parachutes mod, but that likely would be another plugin.

CSDM is one popular mod for CS 1.6 and you might take a look at that. It's pretty old, though. Others will have to chime in about newer things .

This is the parachute plugin, it runs on sourcemod. I would caution you though that the OnGameFrame() method used will heavily raise your server CPU usage. https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=66452

To be clear, though, Sourcemod does not work with 1.6. To run that plugin, you would have to use CS:S or CS:GO instead.

I thought i played on a 1.6 server with the Chutes but maybe it was not . Can i get both HLstats and Psychostats together? Which one is it where you go on there and it shows everyones scores including what you did with each weapon? Thanks for the replies everyone.

Both HLstats and psychostats have web interfaces, but hlstats is usually more popular. Both are available as addons when you purchase a game server.

It must have been psycho stats that had all the player and their weapon info. It had all the different maps and what guns they used and all that. The one you show here i never saw before but it does look cool too. When i do a location today getting my server i want a higher number for capacity right? Living in NJ i was thinking Seattle may be the best.

If you want the best latency for NJ you should choose NY, or Chicago if you are concerned about (D)DoS attacks. Seattle is probably on par with Chicago for protection, but Seattle is across the country from you, Chicago is much closer.

Ok so i am ready to do this. Here is what i am thinking A Counterstrike 1.6 server for 26 players psychostats 2xs a day in Chicago like you suggest. What about ventrillo i am only doing this so i can play with family and friends would vent be a big difference then just talking to each other on the regular mikes? Any other ideas before i hit "Submit" ?

http://steamidfinder.com/ is my preferred way. You can also just join an empty server and type status in console. Your steamid looks like this: STEAM_0:1:14829931

Ok i have it on there but the option restrict weapon is not highlighted what am i doing wrong?

Took me awhile a couple hours but i found info on it and got that added the weapon restrictions. Now i wanted what i used to have where it had a map vote at the end of each map . Which one was that one ? It would say "Time to choose" and the map choices popped up.
