How do I set up a login token?

Post by kraze »

Valve requires all CSGO servers specify a Game Server Login Token(GSLT). This is so Valve can properly enforce hosting rules and to allow servers to change IPs without being lost from favorites. Servers which do not specify a GSLT will be not be shown on the master list and will not be available to connect to by CSGO clients. Each server should have a unique GSLT.

Recently CSGO has been re-released under a new app id, 4465480, you can find it on the steam store at: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4465 ... Offensive/

Because of this, all users of the "csgo legacy" branch of CS2, should transition to the new app id to avoid issues in the future.

To get your server added to the master list and to allow it to accept connections, you would need to:
  1. Visit: https://steamcommunity.com/dev/managegameservershere and login with your Steam details.
    • A link to this page is also provided on the Easy Setup tab of your CS:GO server control panel.
  2. After logging in, you will see the following:
    gslt.png
  3. Enter 4465480 in the App ID field for CSGO, then enter whatever you'd like into the "Memo" field.
  4. Select create and copy the generated GSLT.
  5. Visit your NFO control panel and select the "Easy setup" tab.
  6. Enter your GSLT into the "Login Token" field and submit with the "Commit changes" button.
  7. Reboot your server on the "Server control" tab to enact the changes.
Self-managed customers can follow the same steps, but will need to manually set the GSLT in their autoexec.cfg using the "sv_setsteamaccount" variable.
