This is something I'm in the process of investigating.
15.10 didn't work with Xen (at least, after using the installer), so I hope that 16.04 does.

As a follow-up to this, support for Ubuntu 16.04 LTS was rolled out globally that same day, and I posted to FB/twitter about it. This was the easiest Ubuntu install so far -- it seems that they've finally fully fleshed-out their support for Xen.
