IP Geolocation

Post by LeeStrong »

Hello,
I am prepared to order a server in your Frankfurt Datacentre under the terms that I am able to have 3 IP addresses (factoring in the additional cost), GEOLocated to the United Kingdom.
I am aware that your customer HorizonServers has been able to do this, and was wondering if I would be able to also.

Kindest Regards,
Lee.

There are many 3rd party GeoIP services and we can't force them to identify our servers in any specific way. Some, like Maxmind, allow us to submit suggestions for our IP blocks, but they are not obligated to follow these. When we do submit a suggestion to a GeoIP provider, it is only a correction to ask them to locate it to the actual physical location of the server. We do not have a policy of asking for incorrect entries in order to match customers' preferences.
