SpamAssassin working?

Post by lethaltalon »

Is the a way to uninstall and reinstall it myself?
not sure if this has anything to do with it but when I click on the spam assassin folder I get server STATUS failed error.
about a week ago I made the "Learn Spam" folder and moving all junk/spam emails to it. a few emails I can remember off the top oh my head ; sender "1 tac" and "end herpes madness" I receive multiple emails daily, it doesn't seem to learn. I sort "from sender" and there are a bunch from the each sender. any suggestions?

There is a .spamassassin folder but it should not be visible in clients by default. It is not a real mail folder.

As described on the pop-up help on the Mail page, you need to create a "Spam" folder for SpamAssassin to work. You can also create "Learn Spam" and "Learn Ham" folders, and sort your email, to set up a personal Bayes classifier (separate from our default one). It takes 200 emails of each type for SpamAssassin to use that for its Bayes score.
