Palworld servers

Post by FAST »

Has NFO thought about hosting on managed panel?

Servers are possible and almost 1 million players playing simultaneously.

There has been some demand for Palworld, so we are taking a look at it and considering it.

It doesn't look like this game supports server queries right now, so it wouldn't work well in our managed system. But, customers should be able to run their own servers on unmanaged machines/VDSes. It has a Linux server, which can help to keep costs down on a VDS.

We're getting pretty close here and we will likely open up the game to at least managed VDS/machine customers in the next couple of days. Our system now handles queries and rcon commands, including save-on-exit.

Many unmanaged customers already do run it, as it's fairly easy to get start up a server. Quite buggy, though, so it can be frustrating in that way.

It's interesting how people say its buggy. We have yet to run into any issues. The only difficult part, is trying to figure out certain server parameters like Loot Drop on death for example

We even have a higher pal spawn rate, as well as only 10gb Ram on the server, alongside with Space engineers running while people are playing on that server. Havent had 1 single crash, and the server absolutely never lags

mennes, that's good to hear! Is that on Windows or Linux?

We'll have more data as time passes and our managed/shared servers get used.

Its windows currently! We are actually going to attempt to switcb to linux, so we can save some money and have a bit more RAM

I'm curious if a lot of people's issues comes from Linux. I'll keep you all posted
