Hi everyone,
Are there any plans to add new machines in NYC (or other NFO locations)?
The E-2288G is great and performs exceptionally well for most games, but it was launched in early 2019, so it's almost six years old now.
Considering that the typical IT hardware cycle is around seven years, I'm curious if there are any upgrades on the horizon.
Cheers!

Re: New machines in NYC
The E-2288G processor "launched" in 2019 but wasn't available for servers until mid-2020. Since then, Intel has had three generations that we have supported.
The E-2288G is a very good processor for game server hosting even by today's standards, partially because the focus for a number of years now has been on increasing core counts rather than single-threaded performance.
We have some E-2488 machines on order right now and it should be back on the order page soon; it's a fantastically fast processor. We also had a customer recently cancel an W-1290P in New York and it should become available there.
