Not a current customer, but deeply considering it. Wanted to make sure I had accurate info before renting anything.
I also wanted to make sure I wasn't misunderstanding any site rules / TOS, to save the staff and myself from possible headaches.
1. If I were to rent a game server for myself and some friends, and use the included webhosting to set up a website, am I allowed to use that included site as something of a blog / personal site, or should included webhosting only be used for content relevant to the game server?
If it makes a difference, assume I have a custom domain, like "pigeon.com" for example.
2. Similar to the last question, could I use the included email as a personal email, or should that also be used instead for relevant game server content?
3. How reliable are the emails in terms of receiving / sending content, and where / how are they stored? Is it directly on my rental, or a separare dedicated email server hosted by NFO? Do I need to worry about email storage space?
4. How many email addresses am I allowed to create? Is the limit truly "unlimited?" (within reason, of course.) And would the email addresses end in my custom domain name, such as "name@pigeon.com," or another domain that NFO provides?
5. Are websites included with game server rentals on the same drive, and thus take up the same storage capacity and resources, or are they separated?
6. In the TOS, it is explicitly stated that websites may not directly stream video and audio, which is understandable for a myriad of reasons.
However, could I host images (PNGs, GIFs, etc) for the sake of decorating the site? And would I be able to embed off-site audio, so that it is not directly streaming from NFO's servers? Like royalty-free music, or background ambience, as a couple examples.
Thanks all for your time. Apologies if this is the wrong forum to ask these questions.
Quick questions about webhosting.

Re: Quick questions about webhosting.
It does not have to be gaming-related. You could use it for most non-abusive and legal purpose, as long as it meets other requirements in the TOS (content meant to be commonly viewed by the public, etc).Dovahnaut wrote: Tue Aug 18, 2026 8:30 pm 1. Yes, it is quite normal to do that!2. Similar to the last question, could I use the included email as a personal email, or should that also be used instead for relevant game server content?
The email system here is extremely reliable. We use it internally and it has a very high uptime. Emails are stored on a dedicated email server, with a separate secondary email server at another location (that stores and relays incoming mail if the primary were to go down) and backups made to yet another location.3. How reliable are the emails in terms of receiving / sending content, and where / how are they stored? Is it directly on my rental, or a separare dedicated email server hosted by NFO? I haven't seen an issue with a customer using too much space yet. But, if you want to use more than a few gigabytes, then a specialist email host might be better.
We don't have a configured limit. Your domain would be used.4. How many email addresses am I allowed to create? Is the limit truly "unlimited?" (within reason, of course.) And would the email addresses end in my custom domain name, such as "name@pigeon.com," or another domain that NFO provides?
We also support catch-all emails so that everything sent to the domain can be forwarded to another email address.
No, they are on a separate machine.5. Are websites included with game server rentals on the same drive, and thus take up the same storage capacity and resources, or are they separated?
Certainly, yes, that's perfectly normal for sites to do. Small audio clips/downloads are also fine. We don't want YouTube-style streaming going on, since our systems aren't designed for that.6. In the TOS, it is explicitly stated that websites may not directly stream video and audio, which is understandable for a myriad of reasons.
