Uploading Maps??

I'm having trouble uploading custom maps onto my server. It's a cs:source
server and i'm uploading the maps form MY computer not the net... can somebody give me a pointer here?? when it ry and load a .bsp map it says its and incalid fiel extension.

are you uploading it to the maps folder via FTP?

the ftp link and ftp info is in the file manager of your control panel

when you try to load maps on the server, it must be the exact filename of the map you uploaded, so if its cs_docks_v1.bsp, the mapname is cs_docks_v1, not just cs_docks

Naw it was because i was loading my ftp in firefox not IE. Duh. Hope this helps someone else.

ya, firefox doesnt have a great built in FTP system like IE does, all firefox can do is browse and view files (I'm hoping they add it in their updates

).

either use IE, or use a 3rd party FTP client like smartftp, wsftp, cuteftp etc.
