Help On The Server I Just Got Today

Guess there was one there but still nothing is working so still no idea here i followed all instructions like they said put them in all the right folder or area in my insurgency directory so still no idea why nothing is working...

Did you get it working? I must of missed your last post, I usually reply to every thread I can help on.

which version of metamod did you download? What is the contents of your metamod.vdf, and what is the mod folder for insurgency?

Yeah i downloaded the Dev branch for both MM and SM like the instructions said to do i installed them in my insurgency folder with the cfg like it says to my MM.vdf file shows nothing in it when i click on it so yea no freaking idea about over it really this was not this hard when i had my Css servers i figured it would be the same set up but its not nothing is working like it should. None of my commands like (sm_reloadadmins or sm_admin ) work in my console says unknown command in red every time my server console on the NFO website dont help me at all with anything but to shut it down or restart it... This is just becoming more of a pain the arse then anything to be honest cant never be simple anymore... but yea thats all i have for right now on whats going on here..

Your commands don't work because nothing is being loaded.

Think of SM/MM as layers, one cannot work without the other:

metamod.vdf
Metamod(needs a proper metamod.vdf to load)
sourcemod.vdf
Sourcemod(needs everything above to work)

Try uploading the metamod.vdf I generated and attached for you to your insurgency/addons folder. I needed to compress it into .rar format because the forums don't accept .vdf files (NFO plis).

What is the mod folder for insurgency?

There is no (mod folder) only folder like this this

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\insurgency2\insurgency

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\insurgency2\insurgency\addons

^^ that section has the MM/SM folder in it with the MM VDF file in it

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\insurgency2\insurgency\cfg

^^ this folder has a Sourcemod folder in it with files named ( sm_warmode_off.cfg sm_warmode_on.cfg and sourcemod.cfg

thats it for the rest of the folders the rest is stock folders for sound/maps/downloads/expressions/save/bin thats it

im to the point where if you want to download a program called (TeamViewer 9) then send me a msg on here i'll give you the info to remote see my screen so you can see everything that is going on here we can chat on the TV program or Voice chat so this way we can work thru this cause im at my wits end here with the stupid thing...

That might be the issue!

They changed the folder name to insurgency2 xD

Download the new VDF I generated and MM/SM should work.

On your server.....what is the folder in your FTP root that you enter to see folders like addons/maps etc

Yup samething nothing happens says unknown commands etc
so yea im about over it here just thinking about shutting it down it was a good run but pretty sad nothing works when i follow instructions on how to do this

Just want everyone to know i now have it working lol after all this pain ITS WORKING no idea why i didnt do it before or maybe it was cause i told it was not going ot work but i used filezilla to install all the MM/SM files into my server and now i have admin and control of my server while in game i want to thank everyone on here for the help and im sorry if i came off as a jerk i was just stressed out i hope there is no hard feelings here so thanks to everyone if anyone wants to come and hang out on my server please stop in at 72.5.195.122:27015 thanks again
