Based on your screen shot, that file was definitely there before. You'll need to restore it back before you can run this command.

If you don't have the time to learn Linux, you might also consider switching to Windows, which is a bit simpler to use for most people.

Linux is alot better for server hosting, and i followed the instructions and it doesnt work, its hard to learn something that isnt going to to work, but i will try everything again and yet get the same results ill post the whole console commands as soon as im done.

Yes, please post the entire set of things that you are doing and what it says, in text form.

Windows actually runs Valve games a bit better than Linux does, in terms of CPU and memory usage.

yes but dont you agree you can get higher fps out of a linux os when tweaked right blows a windows box outta the water

thats exactly how it says to do it on the site..correct? and im sorry this is taking so long but hlds worked fine when i did the directions this not so much

Try typing this command before ./ventrilo_srv:

cd ventsrv

It looks like he left that bit out.
