That's a pretty sweet 4U rack you have there.

I was sarcastically referring to the cabinet with the 4 towers. I was attempting to be humorous and failed.

Re: BORED - Ordering Parts
Well, ran into my first snag. Had 4 - 1TB disks in it, one seems to have gone bad already. So, replaced the bad drive, went into the onboard controller and went to rebuild and there is no rebuild to be found. Contacted Asus and they said to simply replace the drive and the array will recognize the new disk and rebuild on it's own. Personally, I've seen higher end PCIe cards to this autorebuild, however never seen an onboard chipset controller do this. Anyone have any ideas? The board is M5A99X EVO R2.0
Also, while playing around on the onboard controller I went to add the new disk into an array on it's own and found a config called "RAID Ready" as I was cycling through the RAID options for it. I've now deleted it out of there and hopefully the array recognizes the blank disk and rebuilds. Only other thing I can think of is the array needs to be deleted and redone with the new drive and maybe rebuild is an option then? I'm too scared to do that, though. This machine has my domain controller, exchange, terminal, etc.
Anyone have any thoughts, I'm lost

Re: BORED - Ordering Parts
You should back up all your data first, before doing anything else, no question about that. Then, it's a matter of finding the appropriate option to add the replacement drive to the array, either in the BIOS or in Windows.
I have not had good experiences with RAID controllers, either true hardware or hybrid types. I recommend that you use the software RAID abilities of your OS instead, for future builds.

The OS is Hyper-v 2008 R2. Don't think there's going to be anyway to do this through cmd.
