Yes when you enable or disable the NFO normal preset it overwrites the admin/startup.txt So I had to disable the normal mode daemon option then add the cfg below to my startup:

I am running (I donated yesterday ) UMM 1.2.2.6 and I have the send preset commands after every round enabled.


I then created a map preset in UMM with the following:

# Custom Preset: Normal 1
vars.friendlyFire false
vars.gameModeCounter 85
vars.killCam true
vars.hud true
vars.3dSpotting true
vars.nameTag true
vars.3pCam true
vars.regenerateHealth true
vars.vehicleSpawnAllowed true

vars.onlySquadLeaderSpawn false
vars.miniMap true
vars.playerRespawnTime 100
vars.playerManDownTime 100
vars.preset normal

I remain at normal but the tickets do not drop down from 800 to 680. So I am not sure where I am going wrong at.

sigh, heaven forbid we want to exert a little control over our servers and actually get traffic to them.

Here's the thing its not that they arent giving us the control, its just that by branding these servers as Custom we will not get the traffic to them because of the very system they have setup. the game comes out of the gate with "normal" checked. I bet a great majority of players never touch that.

I wonder if it has anything to do with running your server in official mode? I'm doing Ranked.

The crash issues I think are under control now, now we could use some performance improvements in this game.

I agree the servers are much more stable now! I think people are still getting discoed during certain levolution events, i.e. Shangai tower collapse.

Do you know if Paracel Storm or Dawnbreaker still crash the server or that's fixed? As far as I know Shanghai is the only one that is still bugged.

For my servers I have in easy setup the amount of tickets I would like to run for now and preset of normal. This works for now. But as a backup. I shoot to the server vars.gamemodecounter 200 (or whatever amount you would like) and a "punkbuster task. pb_sv_task 0 600 vars.gamemodecounter 200". But the task resets after any crash. I know this isnt going to stick but it works for now under normal setting as long as the server stays up.

ElmoPio, you should also be able to put PB tasks in the pbsv.cfg to have them start automatically when the server runs.

You have full access to edit pb/pbsv.cfg.
