perhaps you misunderstood my intentions of the post ...
i dont care what my server rank is, i just found it highly suspicious that 37 out of the top 50 servers tracked by gametracker are gameservers customers. i know they are the same company, but even that means that 37 out of the top 50 servers tracked arent experiencing issues with crashing, quick match, etc ...
and granted, its a skewed metric ... its not exact science.
But those top servers could be crashing. GameTracker is not "connected" to your server at all times. It just queries it every 10-15 minutes, perhaps less. Those 10-15 minutes can easily not detect a crash and they could have their servers re-populated in no time.
Also, these servers could be rented by communities who have been here since BF2, BF2142, or BFBC2 - or even other games. These are the communities who have strong followings and have regular players, and the exact reasoning behind them getting those 64 player servers is exactly because of their following.
I'm not trying to argue here, but perhaps some people (like myself included) bit off a bit more than we could chew by ordering a 64 slot server. I'm only trying to give you another side of the discussion.
my servers crash just like you guys.. but they are on the quick match good wills... Once you find the settings that fill your servers... leave them alone... If you look at my gameservers sig they are full 24/7 but in reality they crash every 3 hours or so.. they just refill instantly.
GS and all other companies have the same problems that we do with the server browser and quickmatch -- they say this themselves and have been complaining to DICE quite vociferously about it. GS by default lists all of its own servers in the website/marketing site it owns called "GameTracker", whereas we cannot, which is just why you see so many of them there. We have some extremely popular servers here whose renters don't want to be listed in GameTracker, and I agree with their choice.
Everything for us is still set as stock cept for ff. we have a ton of luck because of this in quick match. Our gametracker was set up Saturday and by weeks end we should be top 200 at current pace. It seems any and all changes to the settings affect quick match. Before we set it back to stock we could not fill it.

you wouldnt mind sharing your settings with us so that we could try them out and see if they work for us, would you?

Is there a reason for this. ?
Having a high "ranking" server in GameTracker can make you a target for DDoS attacks. It also doesn't mean a whole lot -- just that you have a lot of players joining, not that the players are having fun or that a community is robust. Many clients don't want to bother with that whole game and drama.
It's also designed to be an advertising site for our competitor, and to funnel customers their way. It works well for them, but many clients don't appreciate supporting a company they don't like.

Thanks for that info. Do you have a server tracker/banner that we can use instead, I want to support you because after all, you support us.
I'm worse now than I was last week. I don't go 4 hours without a crash. Only now I cant even restart it crashes and the server stays down for 10+ minutes. Although right this second its been down long enough to vanish off the server list completely. Probably 30 minutes plus.. Its making me sad cause as this continues I can't help but associate dollars and cents to the time. Not necessarily NFO's fault but still its beginning to hurt.
