After the lag happened, i watched the console tool, and saw that output, and i did not experience any difference(lag was still identical).
As far as i know the lag still occurs whether the console tool is open or not.

We have been doing a 6 hour test session, and we have found out that only when players attack each other in this tunnel, is when we lag.
Any more input is greatly appreciated.

nevermind, we tested with some bots, and here is what we found.
Low amt of players go in tunnel=No Lag
High amount of players in tunnel=LAG
High amount of bots go in tunnel-No Lag
High amount of bots + 1 player=LAG

Sorry to necro this old thread, but I will post our solution to this problem.
Having the console viewer in the NFO control panel turned off fixed this for us. The server console was spitting out too much for the viewer to handle, and caused problems.
