Re: Post your speedtest.net results!
50/5 connection.
Have been reading that TWC will be bumping everyones speeds, eventually I should get 100/5 with no price increase, and I hear they are rolling out 300/20 in LA and NYC right now, all for no price incrase from my current plan.
My fear is they will introduce bandwidth caps like comcast, not a terribly big deal to me, I carelessly use bandwidth atm, peak over 1TB each month.

I used to have one that was over 900Mb/s DL and like ~850 UL but I think I lost it :/

I want to live in a datacenter. Super fast internet all the times.
Charter is planning to upgrade their 30/4 to 60/4 without a hike. Like others I also rather have a faster upload speed.
Looks like carriers will offer much faster speeds across the nation without price increase by the end of the year.

Re: Post your speedtest.net results!
So, we just got our NYC VDS at NFO on the speedtest.net site.
We had to ask them to take it down.
over 600GB bw in 1 day(about 180,000 hits)

Re: Post your speedtest.net results!
I did that previously with another VDS. They are a huge waste of bandwidth and I came very close to maxing the adapter on that machine. Definitely not something I recommend users do.soja wrote:So, we just got our NYC VDS at NFO on the speedtest.net site.

Re: Post your speedtest.net results!
I am purchasing a cheap-o dedi with unlimited bandwidth on a gigabit adapter later today for this and other high-bandwidth needs we have. I understand it is not the highest quality but at this point it will cost us $150/m to keep that host on NFO xD That VDS will just stay as our web VDS(which pushes only about 500GB/m)kraze wrote:I did that previously with another VDS.
