Linux Time Drifting

Post by hakkuo23 »

Okay so even though I have NTPD setup, the time is still drifting and I'm not sure how to fix it :(
I'm using Gentoo.

It's like this:
Server Time: Thu Apr 17 05:05:23 CDT 2014
Real Time: Thu Apr 17 12:05:30 CDT 2014

What can I do :( I followed the NTPD article on Gentoo's wiki but that isn't helping.

Thanks!

Please open a support request with us so we can check the Xen version of the machine hosting your VDS.

Okay so now that we know it's not Xen, I'm using the default configs that Gentoo pushes out in their ebuild of ntpd, so why would it not be updating. I'm using the server instance and not the client by the way, but I don't think that is the issue.
