Unable to connect to SSH or FTP
For some reason I cant connect via PuTTY or WinSCP to an unmanaged vds I just rented. I was planning to get stuff done with it today but it seems to not be working. I already contacted NFO's support but they couldnt help out past what we did. I disabled my firewall and generated 2 new keys that apparently werent there for the SSH daemon through the VNC console, then rebooted. No luck. Not sure why I'm having this problem. Could anyone help?

What is your VDS IP?
What does your "Server Control" tab say(a screenshot would be nice, excluding any sensitive info)?

Re: Unable to connect to SSH or FTP
Attached is a snip of my server control panel (which also has my ip).
Re: Unable to connect to SSH or FTP
Did you move the VDS from a different location at any point?
Do you have ANY firewall rules applied?
I am getting destination unreachable for that IP address, indicating the IP is not properly assigned in the OS.

Re: Unable to connect to SSH or FTP
I did move the VDS last night from NYC to Seattle, as I ordered the wrong location last night... Did I make an uh oh?

Read the email you were automatically sent when you moved locations, it describes what you need to do.FuTOM wrote:I did move the VDS last night from NYC to Seattle, as I ordered the wrong location last night... Did I make an uh oh?

Re: Unable to connect to SSH or FTP
If you have nothing installed, just reinstall the OS. It will automatically assign your IP address when installing the OS.
