Installing Multicraft on Linux

Post by Rhapsody »

I'm trying to install Multicraft to manage my Minecraft server on a dedicated machine, but I'm having issues. I followed the instructions listed on https://www.multicraft.org/site/docs/install#1.1 , and went through the installation procedure. At this point, I'm being instructed to access http://your.address/multicraft/install.php. Going to http://[MyIP]/multicraft/install.php gives me a "The requested URL /multicraft/install.php was not found on this server." error, which is preventing me from continuing. I'd imagine that I would need to place install.php in the directory, but that would prevent it from working correctly, wouldn't it?

I haven't installed Multicraft before myself, but it looks like it expects the install package to be downloaded to the webserver's root folder and extracted there. For instance, it might be to /var/www/html. I recommend checking the documentation for your distribution for that directory, moving the files there, and trying to re-run the installer.

I would expect the same, but the initial setup script placed the files in /var/www/multicraft; by all means, I should be able to access it at [MyIP]/multicraft, but I can't, right?

I got it working, I had to move it into the html folder. Seems to be working now.
