Question regarding DMCA takedowns

Post by wopguapo »

Hey, I'm wondering does NFO servers take DMCAs from copyright holders seriously and usually take action? And what does the process consist of?

I'm sure NFo will be willing to help you if you have a valid copyright concern. Just write an email to support[at]nfoservers[dot]com and the staff should be able to help you out.

It may be a good idea to establish and post some type of copyright policy right now just searching the TOS for the word copyright only turns up the footer "Copyright © 2020 NFOservers (NuclearFallout Enterprises, Inc.) All rights reserved. "(which as a sidenote should probably say 2021 or autoupdate). I'm sure NFo is willing to help with copyright problems as Edge100x has confirmed, but I would recommend formalizing it both to reassure copyright holders and for NFo itself to claim safe harbor

Got it. Was just curious since I notified a software creator that a website (whose hosting is with NFO) had an illegal pirated forum software of theirs and was even making thousands off that site (while blatantly lying on the donation and surplus thread) as a result which I'm sure can led to damages for the software creator. After reporting it to the forum software they said they sent NFO a DMCA around a month ago so was just wondering what was the process. Thanks guys
