You've logged on and all your pals are gone! Not to worry, here's how you can get them back:
  1. On the "Server control" tab, stop your server.
  2. Using your preferred FTP client, connect to your server's FTP using the credentials listed on the "File Manager" tab in your control panel.
    1. If you aren't sure how to connect, we have a guide for FileZilla posted here: viewtopic.php?t=8044
  3. Navigate to the "PalWorld\Saved\SaveGames\0\<world-id>\backup\world" folder. This contains daily backups of your world and pals.
  4. Open the folder that corresponds to the date you want to restore from.'
  5. Download the "Players", "Level.sav" and "LevelMeta.sav" files.
  6. Navigate back to "/Palword/Saved/SaveGames/0/<world-id>/" folder.
  7. Upload the "Players", "Level.sav" and "LevelMeta.sav" files to this folder, and overwrite the existing files when prompted.
  8. Start your server back up.
If the above method doesn't work, you can restore from a weekly backup:
  1. Navigate to the "File manager" tab.
  2. Click on "Expanded server backup/restoration options" to open the drop down menu.
  3. In the "Restore file/folder" field, enter the full path to the folder you want to restore. For example "/Pal/Saved/SaveGames/0/<world-id>/Players/" or "/Pal/Saved/SaveGames/0/<world-id>/Level.sav/".
  4. Click the "Trigger file restoration" button.
Lastly, you can wipe and restore the entire game server:
  1. Navigate to the "File manager" tab.
  2. Check the "Wipe server at 1:30am Pacific" and "Restore from last remote backup at 2am Pacific" options.
  3. Click the "Schedule wipe/restore" button.
