Post by Profane »

hello again, I installed a album "Coppermine" to be exact. When I upload a pic I get this error. seattlestars is my server identifer.
No picture was uploaded !

If you have really selected a picture to upload, check that the server allows file uploads...

File: /usr/www/seattlestars/modules/coppermine/db_input.php - Line: 245

thats correct, its called CHMOD and that should be set by FTP to 777 as per directions.

Follow all the instructions precisely step by step, should work as its been installed various times on NFo webspace.

Each combination of boxes would set the CHMOD to a different value.
Only some FTP programs have the 9 boxes, others require you to type in a number or run a certain command to CHMOD folders & files.

Usually when an install document says to use 777, the author is assuming an insecure webserver configuration. With us, you should generally use 755 instead.

When setting up the album one of the questions is:
Path to ImageMagick 'convert' utility (example /usr/bin/X11/) ?
I left this blank, Maybe this is why I am un-able to upload any pics. Any help with this?

The ImageMagick convert utility is at /usr/bin/convert. If it lets you set it afterwards, you'd need to use that.

Thank you, I will try that, and see if i can get a little lucky.

Before I read that post I snapped a pic of the setting thing, this is wierd cause it asks you a question and gives a drop down selection with an answer that wouldnt even make sense with the question. Or is it just me... Heres the pic

Yes, it looks like they have some sort of bug there, since the question and answer doesn't match up.

You might also try selecting GD 2.x from that drop-down, to see if it works.

I decided to install another version of the album and bag this one. Because its obviously buggy... Well anyways while going through the readme

Step 1) upload the files
Step 2) Open http://yourdomain/album/install.php

This is where the problem occurs. When I go to that install.php file on my home computer i just get an internal error. But on my school computer this is the error quote and un quote

Please contact the server administrator, edge100x@nuclearfallout.net and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
