Anyone else have listing problems?

Post by sungersoo »

My gameservers do not show up on the internet tab, all of the settings are correct and I tested with typing the maps in also. None of my servers show up. This problem is pretty big because I would want it to get populated.

Are you running the absolute latest version of each of the games?

Steam is having some problems today due to BF:BC2, so that might also be affecting you.

What is the name and IP of your server? I can look and see if it shows in my browser.

Those are the actual names that I'd see in the browser?

Do you have any sort of firewall enabled on the server?

Similar names, and I haven't touched firewall ever since I got the VPS so I wouldn't know what to do.

They're not in game-monitor, so these IPs don't appear to be master-server listed

Someone on the Valve mailing list is complaining of this happening to his servers also. Are you seeing anything like "No challenge for your address" in the server window? When you type "status" in a server, does it show you're connected to Steam and running secure?

I added the server's to game-monitor and yes in status, I'm connected. I'll wait until the morning to see if the servers are added.

I'm referring to the "status" output from the game console window. I'm asking you to go to that console and type "status", then copy and paste its output here.

For instance, if I do that on our chernobyl server, it currently says:

Code: Select all

hostname: NuclearFallout:Chernobyl
version : 48/1.1.2.6 4554 secure (10)
tcp/ip : 64.94.100.5:27015
map : de_inferno at: 0 x, 0 y, 0 z
players : 19 active (32 max)

It looks like Valve fixed whatever problem it was now, because you're also showing up on the master list: http://www.game-monitor.com/search.php? ... 50.214.118

That's good news!

I manually added my servers onto game-monitor

But in game my servers don't show up on the internet tab, can you check if it works on yours?

Shoot, OK, you threw me off by doing that.

No, I'm not seeing it in my list either.

Are you running Win2k8? If so, are you specifying the IP with the -ip parameter on the command line?
