VDS Question...

Post by Bladezk »

How many slots can the 1 core VDS handle? Me and my local LAN center want to set up public servers for our members to use. Our 2 main games right now are CSS and BF:BC2. I dont expect the server to be full all the time.

We estimate 1-3 game servers, but the number of slots varies so much from configuration to configuration that it's very difficult to say ahead of time. I would recommend giving one a try and seeing how it performs for you.

As an important side note, BC2 servers can't be run on VDSes/dedicated servers.

We will probably have a source Gun game server and maybe a tf2 server if vps can handle that.

I wouldn't anticipate those two servers having problems on our one HT core configuration.
