Prevent Ddos
How can I prevent these attacks on my website since its on a managed machine?
Re: Prevent Ddos
Managed servers can only run game servers. Are you sure you don't mean unmanaged, or that it is addon web hosting attached to a managed machine?
In either case, if you are specifically talking about DDoS attacks and not some other form of attack, very little can be done to prevent them. The best prevention is to avoid becoming a target in the first place, if possible.

Re: Prevent Ddos
If it's a shared hosting account, aka web hosting account, NFO manages the actual machines, and incase of a ddos attack, they take care of it, correct? When a ddos hits a certain website, it will affect the whole machine, and NFO will have to take care of it themself to prevent problems on other shared accounts on the machine.

Re: Prevent Ddos
Since I'm not actually RUNNING the website on a VDS, I consider it managed. So Nfo will take action if there is a ddos attack?
Re: Prevent Ddos
Yes, NFO will take action in there is an attack, though exactly what can be done depends on the type of attack. We talk more about DDoSes here: http://www.nfoservers.com/forums/viewto ... =25&t=4931

@Juski> You said I had a valid point! You can't take it back now! It's out there!
