We have a dedicated server, would it be possible to host a cry2 server from this? or are they only letting these files be released to private orgs at this point? Seems like a waste to buy another 200$ server when we could easily just host it off of our box.

Crysis 2 is available only on managed game server-only dedicated servers and VDSes right now, due to restrictions put in place by EA.

Figures, since they did the same shit with BC2... it kills the community managers who have dedicated servers. Oh wells... thanks for the info.

If I were to grab a managed VDS, I could put a crysis 2 server on it (through the way the tutorial shows it)? As of right now the order page doesn't have crysis 2 listed on the initial game file install list and that tutorial says:

When ordering your Managed VPS please be sure to have the game files of your choice installed, if this step is not done you will not be able to order the game type. The order process will fail.

Any managed Windows game-server-only VDS or dedicated server can have Crysis 2 support added. This is also the case for BC2 and Homefront.
