Hello, I was updating my counter strike source servers today and every time they finished updating from this command
"cd\Game installs"
then
"hldsupdatetool.exe -command update -game "Counter-strike source" -dir sourcebase"
it would say "connection Reset, Winsock Error 10054 "connection reset by peer".
this error happened after every time the server was updated to 100%. When i started my servers it said they were not updated.

Re: Counter strike source server update error
That error is normal for the update tool and can be ignored.
The reason the servers likely weren't updated when you ran them is that Valve changed the folder stucture for CS:S servers to install to a CSS folder instead. As such, you will need to adjust your startup shortcuts/commands to the new directory structure.

Re: Counter strike source server update error
Im not quite sure how to do that. Is there a topic on this already or can you please explain how to do that here
Re: Counter strike source server update error
I haven't had a chance to look at the directory structure yet, but if you look, you will likely see a new CS:S install in a new directory now. Others will likely be able to give you more specifics on the structure change.

Re: Counter strike source server update error
You need to run "srcds.exe" under the "css" folder instead of the "orangebox" folder now. The "cstrike" folder within "css" is the one that you need to customize with your own plugins and maps, now, as well -- the old one will no longer be used.
