Need some QUICK help!!

Post by smoth310 »

Hey guys...

Ok here goes...

I have 3 questions....

1. Why isnt our "admin" rights working on our server and only our "amx" rights. They used to work before when we all where running 1.5? anyone have any clue?

2. How do you go about kicking people now from the server now (using their NEW WONID or should i say STEAMID)?

3. Finally one of my friends is getting the following error everytime he tries logging into our Nuclear Fall Out server... actually he gests it trying to log into ALL servers. What do you think is the problem?

Heres what it reads on the error pop up window:
NET_SendPacket ERROR: WSAEINVAL
**he can play on LAN but not on the net!

Ok guys thanks for your help... if you could please answer these questions quickly id really appreciate it.

Thanks agaiN!

I have 3 answers.

1. see here http://rentalforums.nuclearfallout.net/ ... .php?t=585

2. Just like you kick someone in 1.5 amx_kick name or admin_kick name

3. Tell him to get Steam and 1.6 because you cannot connect to a 1.6 server without it.

Ok here goes..

About the admin_kick or amx_kick ... what would be the NEW combination of numbers that would create the new ID... (before is was an easy read of the last row of numbers, now there something like 0: 0: numbers

and about my friend.. (question 3)
He has the NEW steam (version 1.6) he can play with the new configs but only on LAN... not on the net.. what do you think is causing the prob?

*oh one more thing i found out last night while messing with steam. In some maps you cannot acess your admin/amx rights while dead....!! why is this so?

Are they going to fix this, or is there a problem on my side?

Well you cant get Steam 1.6, its not even out heh

what you are talking about is steaminstall_cs.exe, the Steam and CS 1.6 cache together for 386 MB file.

the new combination of numbers is 0:#:#####

As for him only being able to play on LAN, thats steam support, client side, we have no clue why VALVe's program wouldn't go on the internet.
He could not be logged in, could have to restart, theres a number of possibilities.

As for admin/amx mods, nothing FINAL have been released to help with the 1.6 cs version, so you are going to have to bear with the problems, and soon they will release it when steam and 1.6 is stable, 1.6 is still getting changes made to it.

Are you running any firewall software, or are you behind a router? Have you already tried reinstalling?

Do you have multiple network cards?

What OS is this?

As LLLL said, it's most likely a problem with your router/firewall/NAT device if you have one.

OS is Operating System.

Have you tried temporarily disabling your forum to see if it is the culprit?
