Valve has been always great to the PC community. I had no doubt they would put public dedicated servers for both windows and linux.

My wonder in how "Cross platform" server's are going to be handled...

Last I read was that it would not support "Dedicated" servers. No mods would be allow on these servers. Setting up the server would be just like L4D2 lobby or COD lobbies.

So many questions with "Unofficial" answer's :\

Anyone manage to get a Beta key? I did the whole 2 step process to sign up for one, haven't got anything yet. Really hoping I get one though, be nice to play it before others.

Not me, There first massive invite was 5000 people and I think they will be increasing that within the next two weeks.

Only people who filled out the survey are getting access at this point in the beta.

This game will no longer support cross-platform online multiplayer since they intend to do frequent patches with the PC.

Just got my key from a friend. Anyone heard anything regarding server files yet? I would hope you can run your own unranked dedicated.

According to the CS:GO blog dedicated servers will be available that the community can run.
