Can one version of Windows be upgraded to another?

We do not support upgrading one version of Windows to another (such as Windows 2003 to Windows 2008, or Windows 2008 R2 to Windows 2012). To change your OS version, you would need to back up your files and install the new OS from our fresh image through the "Server control" page in your control panel.
